Fun Times with Papa Owen @ Snowbasin

So we've had a really fun last few days! Today we got to go meet Grandpa Owen up @ Snowbasin. My dad officially retired last year and that's his new seasonal job. He complains a little, but I think deep down, he really likes it. It's good for him to be moving around that much! Gives me peace of mind anyway :) Anyway, he invited us up for lunch and a ride on the Gondola! We got Cruz all suited up and luckily we're only a 20 minute drive to the mountain. Papa treated us with First Class service! Cruz was so intrigued by what was going on. Going up a huge mountain, and the skiers and snowboarders below us! It was almost too unreal for him! His face was priceless, and he was perfectly dressed for the conditions! He LOVES being outside, and gets a little upset at times when it's time to go in. We had a fresh hot pizza then cruised back down in the Gondola and we had quite the afternoon. Good times, good times. Thanks Papa!

Leo 1.0 vs. Leo 2.0

Here is Cruz's main man, Leo the Lion: on the right. Well, he's been thru the ringer many times, and we're not quite sure how long he's gonna last. So, we decided the best thing was to buy a "backup" Leo. When Leo 2.0 arrived in the mail, we couldn't believe the difference in newness. Just had to take a pic. BTW, his Auntie Stacey got the original for him @ my baby shower, and he just love LOVES it. He goes almost everywhere, hence being thru the ringer, thru the washer and dryer many times!

Fun Times with Grandma and Grandpa West

We went to Santaquin on Wednesday to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa West. We didn't have a thing to do, so we just got to hang out and have a delicious lunch prepared by Kathryn. Cruz got to play with his cousin Gavin too! Riding scooters, throwing rocks, etc... As always, Grandma Kathryn goes all out for us and we are always so grateful! We love you Grandma! Then after lunch we got to go the the Red Barn, where we all had fresh ice cream, yum! It was a little windy, otherwise it would've been fun to hang outside a little longer. Here are some cute pix, we love you Grandpa! Cruz always has such a good time when we visit, too bad we live so far away!

20 inches of Snow in 24 hrs!

So we got a TON of snow 2 days ago. I mean a TON!!
These pics are backwards, but oh well. I think we all get the jist. Cruz and I were stuck in the house all day, and he just watched the snow out back just pile up. The first pic is of the sunset later that night. I missed the prime time, but it's still a good photo I think! Also, Cruz had his 18 mos. appt today and he's 80th percentile on height and weight and a little over 90th on his head. IT'S AN OWEN THING OK! Anyhoo, he's very tall. Already over half as tall as me @ a year and a half. Is that normal??

Being a big boy @ the table...

Here is Mr.Handsome sitting @ the table eating some pasta. Rich has had the good fortune of being home with him a lot the last few weeks and this is what I come home to. He's quite hilarious! By the way, he is saying a few words: mama, banana, mas ('more' in spanish). Sometimes on a regular basis, other times not so much. I know there is a lot more he is saying but we can't quite figure them out just yet!

Valentines Day 2009

Here's the newest family pic! We took this on Valentines Day 2009. We didn't get to do much, Rich and I both had to work and Cruz got to spend the day with Nana and both of his Tias. It was a busy day, so alas, this was taken a little before we all went to bed! Cruz is sporting his festive shirt though...XOXO

Big Boy Cruz

Just had to post a new pic of Cruz. He is almost 18 months old!!! Seems time for a new brother or sister to come along...He is just wanting to talk so bad it hurts I think. He certainly gets his point across! Cute boy! I must give Leo a shout out. He is the VIP Lion in the house. (and in the pic)
